It Was A Cold, Dark and Rainy Night .....

 Hi!  It's me Ollie Cat!

The title of tonight's chat topic sounds ominous, doesn't it?  Well I can tell you, having lived outside for the first part of my young life, it can be very scary....even for a brave boy kitty like me!  But at our house cold, dark and rainy nights are pretty awesome because Mommy pulls out my favorite down comforter and she has a book and I cuddle up on her lap and we read for hours and hours.  It's the purrrrfect situation for a cat...well almost...if I had some catnip and treats it would be better, but sometimes these humans are little slow on the uptake.

Mom said earlier that some of our friends on what she calls the east coast have this stuff they call snow happening.  She said it was sounding like a really bad storm and the people there have been told to just stay home and not try to go out in it.  If it's as cold and wet as mom says, I think it would be smart of them to do that.  Even smarter to have their cats cuddle up on this laps and if they don't have cats they should think about getting one.

Mom is currently reading this book called The Better Liar by Tanen Jones and she says so far it's really good...what she calls a psychological suspense.  She's always looking for more good books for us to read together...so I'm wondering what are YOU reading?

Well, back to purring and being adorable and helping mom enjoy her book.  Ollie Cat signing off.

Fine Dining for Cats

Greetings!  It's me!  Ollie Cat!  And I have excellent news...well for me anyway.  We've got some good eats at our house last night and today!  That's me down belong on the look out for my next yummy meal.

My sister, Lulu -- fitting name if you ask me because she IS a lulu--she's this fluffy tortie Persian with this flowing long hair and she thinks she's hot. I think she's annoying--but I digress.  Lu has a food allergy and IBD...that's irritable bowel disease that got caused because of her food allergies at the house she lived in before ours.  She can only eat certain foods but last week she decided she wasn't going to eat.  Oh she at MY special Duck and Pea which our vet says is okay...but no one asked me if I wanted to share.  But she wouldn't eat her wet food.  Our mom tried kitten food (which I wouldn't eat either because I'm a big boy) and this other special food from the vet. She tried human tuna -- which is my all time favorite and think we should have ever day.  And then it was chicken baby food which Lu ate twice and then was done.  So now we're getting Fancy Feast with gravy foods and I have to say these are really yummy.  Almost as good as the tuna.

Mom says Lu is going to start getting B12 shots today -- it's supposed to help her want to eat.  We'll have to see....but meanwhile I'm enjoying my Beef and Gravy.

So I have a question for the moms and dads of my fellow felines....what do you feed your kitties when one of them is not in the mood to eat their regular food?  I need some ideas to tell my mom just in case there's something I might like too.

Greetings Humans! My Name Is Ollie Cat!

And I just discovered that my mommy had this blog for who I hear is my sister Miss Missy.  I hear stories about her but I only know about Lulu.  (More on Lulu later). So about this Missy cat....

Apparently on September 7, 2019 she decided she wanted to see the world and took off to travel. Well, not really.  Our mom got sick in the spring of that year and had to hire someone to help her and even though our mom said over and over to be careful of us cats...or of Missy and Lulu since I wasn't living here then...the lady wasn't careful and left a door open.  Missy decided to make a break for it and went to live outside, we hope, for just awhile.

Our mom got this really smart idea -- she saw how humans will try over and over to get pregnant and they finally give up and adopt a human baby.  Our mom thought that might work to bring Missy home so she adopted me!  Ollie Cat!  So far Missy hasn't come home but I'm a total bundle of joy and love.  Everyone loves me! Well...maybe Lulu not so much but that's probably because I'm mean to her.  More on that later.

Anyway, in addition to being the cutest cat on the planet...or maybe the universe....and finding this blog I decided the world deserves some of my ideas, thoughts and perspectives on life.  Us cats, we have the right ideas how to live life to the fullest and it's only fair to share them.  So stay tuned.....I'll be here with my advice!
